I remember watching this Facebook post about a teacher writing 5 multiplication problems on the chalk board and purposely writing one incorrectly to teach the kids a lesson. The children mocked her and laughed at her despite the fact that all of the other problems were correct.
The lesson: In life no matter how many good things you do the world will find that one thing you did wrong and criticize you for it. But do not get discouraged. Always stay strong and rise above the hate.
This reminded me of sports. People will dictate your whole career based off of the one bad race that they so happened to see you run. They will overlook all the great races, catches, or plays. But they will always, always, and I do mean always bring up the horrible race you had. No different in personal lives and business as well.
They will always bring up the negative:
- That one bankruptcy but overlooks the profit producing businesses
- That one divorce but not the great marriage you are in now
- That one DUI and not the 30+ yrs you have been sober
- The many times you have failed at something but not the current success you are having
These are just a few. In track and field we say “you’re just as good as your last race”. This is all people remember and will base their opinion or Facebook post of you on. Damn them! Don’t listen to the negativity. Stay strong keep grinding.
Stay the course!
You are better than your temporary fail or situation! You do not have to answer to anyone but GOD! He is the only fan that matters. Please Him not anyone else. Who cares if you’re not liked on Facebook because you are loved in His book!
Go be great!
Food for thought:
Jeremiah 1:5NCV
“Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I chose you. Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work. I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Galatians 1:10 NCV
“Do you think I am trying to make people accept me? No, God is the One I am trying to please. Am I trying to please people? If I still wanted to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Isaiah 2:22 NCV
“You should stop trusting in people to save you, because people are only human; they aren’t able to help you.
