FORBES LIST OF LIFE!

Here in the last couple of weeks I have been to a few funerals as well as mourned the loss of close friends and family. I cannot help but to reflect and reminisce on past times of laughter and gatherings that we have shared.

One thing comes to mind. We are all on the true Forbes list! This Forbes list does not require our bank accounts to specify a certain dollar amount or value. It’s a list that we became part of when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. This Forbes list that I speak of stands for For On Resurrection Begins Eternal Salvation!
This is the list that I want to be a part of! We often get caught up in the social media’s of chasing wealth and escaping poverty. Providing better lives for our families, etc. When sometimes we need to slow down and enjoy the now. Sit back and meditate.
  • The dysfunctional family that we are apart of, well it is still a family
  • The dad that did not come to any of my games, well he was working majority of the time so that I could be at those games
  • The house with the roof that leaks, well it’s still shelter for our children
  • The job that we dread going to everyday, well it is keeping us off the streets
Many times we should be thankful for the things we have and embrace the now. A quote that I love reads,
“Happiness always looks small while you hold it in your hands, but let it go, and you learn at once how big and precious it is.”Maxim Gorky

The Bible itself reads:
Hebrew 13:5 (New Living Translation), 5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,“I will never fail you,I will never abandon you.”
Realize your worth now. Get rich in His word. Let Him into your life and etch your name on His Forbes List (For ORessurection Begins Eternal Salvation)!
